Melbourne Renegades

Today Big Bash 6th Match The new and improved Melbourne Renegades, though, are showing that they are going to be very hard to beat this season. Aaron Finch has been the backbone of the Renegades batting lineup for a long time now but he did not contribute to the win at all, getting out second ball.

Cameron White with an unbeaten 79, Marcus Harris with 50 and a cameo from Brad Hodge in the end showcased the batting strength that the Renegades possess this season. In fact, there were still Dawyne Bravo, Tim Ludeman, Mohammad Nabi, and Jack Wildermuth still to come, all of whom are very good with the bat.

Brisbane Heat

The first question that anyone asks about the Brisbane Heat is whether Chris Lynn is fit and the answer to that is we don’t know yet. He has been named in the 13 man squad for the match but a final decision will be taken on the morning of the match itself.

We are not hopeful of seeing Lynn on the field because the Heat would not want to risk a worsening of the injury so soon after he pulled out of the first match.

Compounding the problems further for Brisbane Heat is the injury to Joe Burns which will cause him to miss this match as well. Burns was in excellent touch in the opening match and scored a crucial 50. It was him and Alex Ross that pulled the Heat to a competitive total which eventually led them to victory.

With Joe Burns out, Alex Ross and even Ben Cutting who cleared the boundary with ridiculous ease are going to be very important to Brisbane’s chances.

Brendon McCullum played a typically aggressive knock of 40 and Lynn or no Lynn, he will play the same way. We also feel that his captaincy will be a big asset for the Brisbane Heat in this year’s competition. He is going to use Shadab Khan and Mitchel Swepson in an aggressive manner looking for wickets all the time.
